Sarah is a Licensed Social Worker with over 18 years of experience in human services. She holds advanced degrees in trauma therapy, healthcare management, and Deaf rehabilitation, including a master’s from NYU, as well as an advanced certificate in Trauma Therapy. Sarah’s diverse background includes roles as a Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapist for brain injury survivors, a Program Director for adults with intellectual disabilities, and the sole Case Manager for the Deaf community in Lancaster County, where she utilized American Sign Language daily.
Currently, Sarah works in both hospital and private practice settings, providing support in the emergency room, labor and delivery, ICU, and throughout hospital floors. She has significant experience with crisis intervention, end-of-life and hospice care, supporting Veterans through life adjustments, rehab and long-term care planning, and working with patients experiencing homelessness and substance use challenges. Sarah also works with families and older adults, helping them navigate complex care and insurance issues.
Her therapeutic focus includes trauma, depression, anxiety, codependency, relationship challenges, grief, women’s issues, life transitions, and parenting skills, particularly with gifted children. She incorporates guided relaxation, goal setting, boundary work, and strength-based techniques to foster growth and self-empowerment.
Raised in the Midwest, Sarah has lived and worked in New England and three major cities, developing a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and communities. She brings this perspective into her practice, honoring each client’s unique strengths and guiding them toward resilience and renewal. Sarah believes that therapy is a courageous step, offering a safe and compassionate space for clients to explore their challenges and embrace personal growth.
