Elena Roth (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with both a master's and undergraduate degree in social work. She was honored with High Honors from the Phi Alpha Honor Society for her outstanding academic achievements in the field. With over 16 years of experience in the human services sector, Elena has had the privilege of working with children, teens, and adults, guiding them through significant life transitions, trauma, and emotional challenges. She is certified in Sexual Abuse Trauma by the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress and is also recognized by the National Center for Crisis Management. Elena’s expertise spans a wide range of therapeutic areas, including trauma, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, parent-child conflict, and defining and setting healthy boundaries.

Elena is a trained EMDR therapist, and she deeply values the transformative power of EMDR in helping individuals heal from past traumas. She has witnessed firsthand the profound impact this therapy can have on those struggling with trauma, anxiety, and emotional pain. She believes in the power of therapy to heal, transform, and empower, and uses a combination of evidence-based approaches to help her clients achieve emotional well-being and peace.

Raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Elena has a unique appreciation for diversity, having been immersed in a multicultural environment from a young age. She is bi-racial and cross-cultural, which has enriched her ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life. Elena's personal experiences have shaped her therapeutic approach, making her highly attuned to the needs of people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. This cultural sensitivity allows her to provide effective therapy that resonates with clients from all backgrounds.

In 2024, Elena was honored as a Woman of Achievement by the YWCA of Lancaster, a prestigious recognition that highlights her commitment to empowering individuals and her contributions to the community. This award reflects her dedication to fostering inclusivity, emotional wellness, and resilience in those she serves.
Elena believes that counseling is a brave first step toward healing. She is passionate about guiding her clients through their struggles, helping them rediscover their strength, and supporting them as they work towards living a life filled with intention and peace.
