KARISA LE LCSW, MSW

Each individual has so many valued strengths and my focus is using those abilities to help you be the best version of yourself. I strive to create a welcoming, warm environment where you can feel comfortable to share, process, and grow.

I am a Master’s level licensed social worker, my graduate degree obtained from the University of Pittsburgh. During my education I had the opportunity to study abroad and enhance my cultural awareness by building my respect and empathy for others while celebrating differences and similarities. Having married into an Asian-American family I value the beauty of different cultures and traditions. We are all humans with innate needs for safety, wellness, and meaningful relationships with others.

I have numerous years of experience working in the mental health field in various capacities. I also have extensive experience in working with women and helping them navigate the complexities of their new postpartum life, this includes postpartum depression and anxiety, and adjusting to motherhood. I have experience working with families with young children, focusing on child development and parental support. I have medical experience in Acute and Critical Care and have supported patients and families alike during those difficult seasons of illness. I have walked with families through the aging process and dealing with grief and loss. Grief is not linear and there are no time-constraints for it; I have the capability to guide you towards healing by providing you comfort and a space to process freely. I am a firm believer in self-determination and meeting clients where they are; providing support in whatever capacity is needed at that time.

I look forward to meeting you where you are, as you are.

“As human beings, our job in life is to help people realize how rare and valuable each one of us really is, that each of us has something that no one else has–or ever will have–” Fred Rogers
