DR. SIERRA BARNETT-HALL, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PsyD)
I'm Dr. Sierra Barnett-Hall (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PsyD). I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Art History from the University of Maryland, College Park, followed by a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from The American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Northern Virginia. I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, DC.
Throughout my career, I have worked in community mental health, private practice, specialty pediatric, and pediatric primary care settings, giving me the opportunity to support individuals with a wide variety of concerns across the lifespan. While I began my career working primarily with children and adolescents, I have found my passion in helping adults navigate life's many challenges.
I primarily work with adults in their early twenties through older adulthood who are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, major life transitions, infertility, and perinatal or postpartum concerns. I also enjoy helping individuals make meaningful health-related behavior and lifestyle changes that support their overall well-being. In recent years, I have developed an even deeper passion for working with mothers and parents as they navigate the transition into parenthood and the many stages that follow.
Whether you are preparing to become a parent, adjusting to life with a new baby, coping with infertility, or balancing the ongoing demands of raising children, I am passionate about providing a supportive space where you feel understood and empowered. I have completed advanced training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International and am currently working toward my PMH-C (Perinatal Mental Health Certification).
My approach to therapy begins with building a strong therapeutic relationship because I believe meaningful growth happens when you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. I strive to create an open, compassionate, and collaborative environment where we work together to identify your goals and develop a treatment plan that fits your unique needs. My therapeutic style is eclectic, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Above all, I believe in showing up as a real person first, so you can expect a laid-back, authentic approach with honesty, compassion, and a little humor along the way.
Outside of the therapy office, I love spending time outdoors hiking and exploring with my husband and daughter. I'm an animal lover with two big dogs and three cats, who may occasionally make an appearance during telehealth sessions. I also enjoy exercising, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, discovering new coffee shops and restaurants, and exploring the beauty of nature through photography.
