LAUREN MAST LCSW, MSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I'm Lauren Mast (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I provide counseling for individuals ages 16 and older. I believe that every person has unique strengths that can serve as a foundation for healing and growth, even during life's most difficult seasons. Together, we can work through anxiety, ADHD, attachment concerns, family conflict, suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, giftedness in youth and adults, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship stress, and many other challenges that we experience throughout life. I believe therapy should balance meaningful, honest conversations with the ability to simply be human together, offering grace and compassion when life feels overwhelming.

My goal is to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where we can explore your experiences, identify your strengths, and work toward meaningful growth. I want to walk alongside you—and those who support you—as we pursue the goals that matter most to you.

My experience in Family Based Mental Health Services has allowed me to provide trauma-informed care to families and the systems that support them. Through this work, I have learned that individuals and families respond from the context of their experiences and are deeply influenced by the resources available within their environment. My goal is to help you recognize and access those resources while building upon your existing strengths as we learn new skills together.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Messiah University and my Master's degree in Social Work from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. My professional experience has focused primarily on family systems and the individuals within those systems, helping clients better understand how their environment influences their well-being. Together, we will explore ways to strengthen the supports already present in your life or identify changes that can better meet your needs.

My work is also grounded in the Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy Model, which examines how individuals experience the systems and environments around them. While often associated with family therapy, this perspective helps identify the strengths, supports, and resources that already exist within your environment and allows us to use them to foster lasting growth.

In therapy, I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. Rather than relying on a single therapeutic model, I strive to find the right combination of skills and techniques that best supports your individual goals and helps you create meaningful, lasting change.

Outside of the therapy room, I am originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and returned to the area after working in Dauphin County for several years. I enjoy reading, playing video games, spending time with friends, and baking with my sourdough starter. I also love spending time with my new grey kitten and exploring both new places and familiar favorites.
